Back to original question, I would think that if a possible 14 amps draw is .......er, possible, then a 15a fuse is too close. It would only take a very small "spike" to blow it, not much safetey margin. Hence the 20 amp fuse.

Yes Netshubby thats what I at first thought but Micheal worked out the maximum current drawn at about 14amps including I think 5amps for the headlight as my bike and I assume yours being the same model power the headlight from the alternator using alternating current and not the battery and charging circuit and it doesn't go through the fuse I think now there is a good margin for surge?
