I've just dismantled my twin leading shoe front brake to clean and regrease as described in our hosts technical article and noticed that I didn't have a spacer between the brake plate and the hub. Is this correct for this model. ( It's the last of the 4 speed kick start classics)

Parts book on this site suggests you should have one. REgards, Mark

The brake plate sits ok on the hub and spins easily. There is just a thin washer on the felt washer over the bearing retainer.
