I'm not sure if a POR15 kit will save that tank

Update - I have stripped the R.E. engine [far left of picture above] and despite very heavy corrosion rendering one crankcase half scrap, most of the other bits are serviceable. It is a 350 sv, not a 250. The Triumph engine is to be restored and possibly the front section of the Enfield frame, if it is up to it, otherwise we will be on the lookout for an early swingarm 250 Clipper [pre unit] frame to put this engine into and continue the 'Trifield' theme.

I have checked out the furthest reaches of
T'internet and this bike is actually a
Royal Rustfield.
These used to be incredibly rare in fact none were
Ever built. However we are starting to see more
Of them turn up in farmers fields.
They we built in Redditch as Royal Enfields
But years later modified (by a slow almost invisible
Process know as "oxidation" )to become
Royal Rustfields.
I have never owned this particular hybrid
But I have owned a few BSA Rustfields !
I hope you don't mind me saying yours is a very
Fine example but prob has more Rustfield bits
Than Enfield bits.
Finally I would like to say that when you put
This in for concours judging you will suffer the
Same blind prejudice as I did. Due to ignorance
most judges do not recognise rust as valid
modification, no different to fitting trials tyres
Or chromed bits really.
