To become the new diplomatic and cultural attach’e for the greater Melbourne area..

Ok the deal on selling my Inter is off, Bloke turned up to pick it up while I was out and I hadn't told my wife that I was selling it, and she was not impressed. I felt sorry for the bloke because he had driven over 2 hours to get here and he really wanted it

Most likely Leon, not much has been said in the last few hours, at least my dogs aren't angry with me

Oh dear, that is terrible to hear.

suggest 'building bridges' slowly...

The majority of women like cleaning things, so maybe an hour or two with the both of you sharing polish and rags, cleaning the interceptor, might help to heal the rift?

Scaly, I don't think we have to go quite that far, problem was at the end of the day I couldn't let it go, stupid as that may seem, but I realized that if it went I would never have the opportunity to get another one, $10,000 in $50 notes spread out on the front seat of his car was tempting but I had to walk away

It been my experience that whenever I've sold something I like the money doesn't really offer any real succour, in fact within a couple of weeks it's been sucked into the household budget and is being used for water rates or worse GST bills. Glad we still have you in the brotherhood :)

Norm, the great Ogri once said: "a bike will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no bike" or some such hippy talk! Congratulations on returning/staying in the fold, your contributions would have been sorely missed... REgards, Mark

Norm, I concur with the appeal to stay in touch as your knowledge and humour has been a real asset to us all. Despite your angst towards Bullets I have now had 3 and have become an advocate. As to the Inter, I just sold a norton atlas to germany with much regret but with daughters education pressing on budgets it had to go, there will be others out there. I have sold many bikes and always regretted the decision apart from a modern Bonneville. But the enfield is a keeper because the combination of angst pleasure and more angst plus cheap is difficult to replicate. My wife has given up with the magic roundabout of bikes coming and going it is just what we do. Anyone want a 2014 Woodsman? Another project beckons!
