Great looking bike Nettshubby, thanks for sharing it with us. I'd have converted it to 500 too, did you weld up the stud holes and re drill them?

Chris, I pnly did the boring, that I remember, Steve was more likeley to have done, or had done the welding.

I haven't done a 350 to 500 conversion but thought about it a bit over the years, my thoughts on plugging the holes wouldn't be welding the old holes, they are too deep to get clean and weld down in there, my thoughts would be to use ally rod, thread it, screw it in with 620 Loctite then cut the rod off, then drill and tap the new holes

Norm, apparently when the mouth is bored it leaves the stud drillings exposed sideways, so they can be welded, then it's bored again to clean up the mouth, then drilled to the 500 stud pattern. I say apparently because I've never seen it but was told by a well known tuner that's how it's done.

Norm, the threaded alloy rod + Loctite does work, I have had a set of 350 cases converted where this was done. Regards, A.

I like the bike and think it's a fine effort. A lot of thought and work must have gone into the build.

Thanks for posting the pictures.
