The borders is a very large catchment area - are you left or right so to speak, looking downwards from Edinburgh (as they do). Is A7 motorcycles in langholm still on the go? I am in Glasgow but have become used to being the only enfield in town and indeed wherever I go, and enjoy it all the more for that as I know what they are missing. You feel like a preacher on most outings. More often than not the light comes on.

Hi sofiaspin, Im not far from kelso. There are a lot of classic and vintage bikes around but they only seem to come out for shows etc and you never see the just out for a run. Im looked upon as strange around here because most people go for sports bikes and it you ride anything else you are not included. Thats their loss not mine.

too late !!-------------- I spent my Senior Apprentice years based at HMS Caledonia, Rosyth and was their motorcycle club Secretary for most of that time (1967 onwards)......Saturday nights at the old Meadowbank Stadium Speedway and many jaunts into Glazgee and area......A pint 'o heevy and a Haggis wi neeps an tatties !! --------------- but that was long ago and far away ( literally)... My bike was a 1965 Honda CB160 in black and I rode that down to Reading, Berkshire with my hand luggage slung across the rear of the seat !!--------took the train back to Edinburgh (Waverley)----- naturally !

I'm in Carlisle, but not doing much riding at the mo, I'm restricted to tinkering in the garage, I cant go too far as the wife is sick.

I'm in sunny Saltcoats, pearl of the West. I saw a Classic up Largs way a couple of weeks ago, but I was in the car (delivering cats). There's (or used to be) a mil spec RE down this way but not seen it for a while.

Hello Davie. Often up around the borders on my Electra and usually call into the café in the car park in Jedburgh that looks over to the Abbey. Returned from a few days up in Gairloch with 3 friends last month. Weather was good and we all enjoyed the area including the must do Applecross pass. Bike returning around 100mpg. I should be up around the borders before the weather closes in. Phone me with your number or e-mail so I can let you know when I will be up there. I am usually at the Jimmie Guthrie run from Denholm along with friends but that will be next year.
