Since getting my bullet five years ago I've been considering giving her a name. I'm pretty sure she's female, and have tried her with a few names including "Lizzie", " Bessie", and a few I don't care to mention when she's refusing to start. I've just realised that my wife had her named a long time ago without me being aware or it until this evening when she said, as she often does, "are you going to the garage to Tinker?" So, Tinker it is then. Seems to suit her.

The Enfield aka the Infamous Bullet is an assembly of inorganic materials and is therefore neither he nor she, merely an it ;)

Don Quixote de la Mancha was a guy getting on in years who decided to hit the road and have a few adventures. By way of a horse, he got an aging beast and tricked him out to look good.
He named his horse "Rocinante", which means something like "used to be an old nag".
So when, as many of us do, I was in my 50th year and I looked at my full bike license and wondered where my bike was, and bought an old wreck and proceeded to do it up, I named it Rocinante and wrote that name in gold letters down the front mudguard.

No mines definately a female. Only a female could be the source of so much frustration or pleasure .
