Hi ! I am changing the front mudguard on my 500 to one from a 350 as i like the look of a deeper guard, has anyone done this ?? which stays / brackets did you / do you use ? will they need any modifications or bolt straight on ? thanking you for any help , cheers guys ..

I had the dealer fit a 350 mudguard to my 500 when I bought it new in 2005. He took the mudguard and stays from a new 350 and then fitted the mudguard and stays to my bike and vice versa. A friend bought the 350 some months later not realising it had a skimpy 500 one. When I told him I had the nice deep one from his bike he was not amused.

Haha ! Love it , I asked because I wasn't sure, I sold the original front guard with stays, got a replacement one with stays but it seems the centre almost upright stay will only bolt on to one hole on the lower end ? not offered up the others yet ...

Do you need the stays (350 onto a 500 military), or just the mudguard and the 500 stays?

Pass ! Once I test fit things It looks like I will have spares to go with all the other bits I don't need as doing the bike like a fifties " American sold indian) already got 3 petrol tanks and a few other bits But no one on ebay interested ... oh well ..
