Hi !

I am giving my 2001 reg 500 Bullet a 50's makeover / retro look and would like to change the levers / mounts for older looking ones , then fit old style bolt on mirrors instead of the standard screw in ones, I am also going to fit Lucas style switchgear.

Can anyone tell me whether I can do this ? ( Legally ) do I have to have a front brake light as it was an original item ?? will it still pass an MOT ?

Any help would be very much appreciated ..thank you ..

Yes you will need a brake light switch on the front. Good news is there is a special cable sold by Hitchcocks with built in brake switch too solve this problem this goes into the headlight nactile so don't get seen.

I just fitted the same st up to my 91 Bullet and it's spot on. All parts from Mr H of course, 50@s bars and levers etc..
