Does anyone use Champion NY9C projected tip spark plugs? I have heard that they make for easier starting, cooler running, better fuel economy, a modicum of increased power and attracts girls.

I've done some reasonably long rides on the Bitsa Norm and Auckland is surrounded by motorways albeit with 100kmh speed limits. There is quite a lot of opportunity even within Auckland to spend 10 mins at open road speeds (just not at peak hours) the 350 will happily fang along at 100 to 110 even 115 Kms but it seems a bit unhappy once I return to built up area speeds with pinking ( pinging as you Aussi's call it) themAli barrel made a big difference and running a cooler plug also helped. My next thought is a high capacity oil pump the alternative of course is to treat the poor thing with more respect and get out the Ducati when I want to go fast but there is something very fine about the Bullet at full tilt.

I'd be interested to hear how you get on with the plug Leon, the proof is generally in the pudding as they say. I found the L86C's I use in the Ducati were better than another brand equivalent however there are a number of fakes or possibly poorly manufactured but genuine Champions out there so check the source of the plug before you buy it.

Yes Pete but it is the proof of the pudding;) 50kms in built up area and 100kms on the open road. It's quite fast enough as the standard of driving here is utterly woeful. They've made it a lot harder to get a license here now but it will be a while before that translates into an overall better standard.
