To get that information you need to join the Royal Enfield Owners Club who have the records. You can do it online. Not expensive and you will get a DVLA approved Dating Certificate. To get a value you need to post some pictures and tell us a bit about it. Not difficult really!

Thank you for that, I have attached a picture

I have only just purchased the bike as I have always wanted one, I think its a 1956 350 clipper, and it looks to have been restored in the past few years, some marks and scratches but good patina.

It took me 3 attempts to upload picture, It would be good if somebody could give an indication on what it is worth and confirm if its the 350 clipper?

Thanks Chris

Only the REOC can confirm the numbers match and the dates are correct. As I said before. Asking for a second opinion won't change that. It looks like a Model G Deluxe with an age related number plate (therefore not worth anything for the plate if that is of concern,) and it probably will be only about £2000-2500 if that. Hi just for information how do you know the registration plate is age related? and not original?

Thanks

ASV may not be an Age Related number but most of the pre-suffix (pre 1964) age related numbers that have been issued come from un-issued Scottish series (usually from the outer islands,) which are all something S something and are therefore age-related. SV is a very common one. If you have the paperwork for the bike it will say on the V5C if the number is transferable or not. In any case, that number isn't worth very much, have a look at numberplate dealer's sites for examples.

Thanks Mark- Ive checked the V% and it appears its the original plate as section 3 does not state non transferable.
I would prefer to retain this registration with bike- I've had a quote of £1500 net to sell the plate!! but I will keep it with the bike as I assume it will increase the final value. I will contact the owners club and dvla for some more history.
