I have done a full rebuild on a 1967 Interceptor engine and want to get the oil circulating around the engine before it goes back in the bike. I have filled the oil filter and engine with new oil and also the oil pumps when reassembling and want to get the oil pumped around the engine up to the rocker assemblies so the oil is there ready for first start up.
Will I be able to achieve this by turning the engine over by hand with the plugs removed or won't I be able to turn it over quick enough to get the oil pumps working?
what is the best way to do this?

Yes you can - it may take some time (at least you can on a Bullet which is essentially the same system) The trick is to have the pumps well primed but you already did this.
Might be worth a squirt of oil down the bores as well.
I would check there is no oil in the sump (i.e. from wetsumping) before you start, then as soon as oil appears at the rockers you're good to go.
Really, if you oiled things as you re-assembled, you don't need to do this, but I know it brings peace of mind.

As Pete says, you have done all you can. I usually finish the engine before the rest of the bike and give it a minute or so of kicking (plugs out!) every time l pass it when in the garage. REgards, Mark
