Any one know? if by removing the outer grey plastic finish on a 65 gear box has a detrimental efect if any ?

Mine on my 2005 Bullet 65 was a polished Finnish even when new. But I have previously found Nitromors paint remover is normally good at removing that plasticoat type Finnish. I would remove the cover & Seals before attempting to clean it though.

Alan: sorry bout that yea its a 2003 Bullet 65 with the ally head.

P.M.H: tnx 4 the reply, av got nitro to do it, but before i start will by removing the plastic finish effect the outer cover effecivness in any way (also is the quality of G/Box outer ally the same quality as the timing chest (you want em both looking the same?) is that plastic stuff on for a reason? (also am only planning to do the outer cover with it in situ)
