I see the white metal bushes, as well as bronze bushes all over Ebay...from India, and Hitchcock's just has a listing with the oem part number. Just assumed it too would be from India, was hoping there was other sources for a quality machined bronze bush or worst case a known high quality white metal, and if there was a better (quality metal) stock crank pin for said setup. Was hoping for more feedback from others who may have used this rod and their setups vs. pestering Hitchcocks with e-mails when this is in the preliminary stages for me and I wouldn't be buying for awhile (and calling is not possible unfortunately) Converting my 01 Bullet from worn out iron barrel 535 to the alloy barrel 500 (for rebuildability as well as the light mass) with that particular rod and a quality floating bush, Hitchcocks spindle, hi volume pumps, performance cams, comp valve kit, doing some porting, dumping hump, close ratio gearset, sealed gearbox etc. No drag racing, no track days, no street light drags or burnouts, or chasing the ton, just sport and pleasure riding with enough power and durability to withstand easy cruising at 70mph or so.

It was some time ago but I got the parts to rebuild my 53 500 from Hitchcocks and they've been fine ever since. I'd go with the parts listed under original part numbers, they will be British made, if there are alternatives (ie, Indian made,) they will be listed separately in the drop box on the Parts Book Online, so you will know exactly what you are buying. If in doubt email H's, they reply pretty quick and I know they want you to be confident with the product! REgards, Mark
