A friend of mine is having trouble with a 1955 350 Bullet.
It is fitted with a short reach plug NGK B5ES.
Is this close to the original Lodge,KLG,Champion or whatever? Can someone tell me which plug he should fit?
Thanks,Dave P.

Thanks Gwilly. I had looked at that chart but was unsure about its relevance to the the old mag equipped bikes.
I thought it might apply only to the Indian machines.

Are we sure it should be short reach?

Dave, what trouble is he having? It should run almost regardless of the plug fitted! REgards, Mark

Dave, thanks for that. Plug reach changed in 1956 I think. REgards, Mark

I believe that the 350's are short reach and the 500's long reach, my post '56 350's are definitely short reach.

My old 51 ran best on a B6ES but I think it was a medium reach plug. Short reach are for chainsaws and law mowers.. Mind you I don't think they make a short reach plug in that heat range. My warmed over bullet I run on a B7ES because it helps prevent pinking after a spell of high speed running. I thing a B5 might be a bit hot.
