my 3 year old classic EFI has been running perfectly until recently, now when changing down through the gears it is 50/50 as to whether it goes into gear or into a false neutral. If it's false neutral and I press pedal down again to get it into gear it skips a gear and goes down to the next one. anyone else had this, any ideas, the clutch cable has been adjusted as it was a bit slack, made no difference to gear changing..............

Make sure your chain is adjusted correctly. A slack chain can effect the gearchange.

They all do that sir. Seriously, mine is terrible for it. The only time I have trouble finding a neutral is when stationary with a warmed up engine.
