NOT the 1965 Bullet!
Link - Ebay

This has popped up before, and I have emailed them. All that has happened is the title has changed from 1965 Royal Enfield Bullet (or similar) to 'Classic Royal Enfield'.
My concern here, is that some member of the public, who may be after their first British bike, Or first RE, and have no real idea that this is not genuine 1965, more like a 2004 Bullet, well dressed up for a 1960's party. I have no idea who should deal with this sort of thing, but I would hate for somebody's first adventure into our hobby to be spoilt by buying this bike. I can hardly believe that after my email, the owner is still saying that it was first registered in 1965, when you can enter the reg. in the DVLA site, and it comes back with a date of first registration of 01/10/2004. Sure; it says date of construction 1965, and possibly that nut to the right of the air filter does date from then, but I bet the rest are metric! Would love to find out the frame and engine number!

This is from the seller, and below is from the DVLA

There is the possibility of genuine lack of knowledge on the part of the owner, but after my email, the fact that it still states 'Registered in 1965' and also seems to mis-lead elsewhere, I think this is more like deceit or sharp practice.
So sorry, basically a rant, but I don't want some poor person coming on here, finding their pride and joy is only ten years old, if maybe we could have done something about it beforehand (like many of us send the seller an email).
