I also saw a pair of non screwed legs with a brake drum leg lug on it, these are all brand new, one set has been fitted on a Carberry and apparently a big improvement in the handling.

Hi Alan, you were right couple of numbers short, ebay AU item number 221202026890, The screw in type I have been talking about are in a C5 that has only done low ks and would not have been modified so they are not only fitted to home market, they have been introduced sometime since the UCE's were introduced. I should have more info later next week

I have no idea if this helps Norm, but I've just been out and looked at Thumper's front forks.. he's a 2005 Indian built and no mods have been made to the front end, so I reckon this is factory installation.. they appear to be the same as the ones in that picture.

Looks like the forks go up through the top and bottom yolk and the big screws are set just behind the pilot lights and slightly offset towards the handle grips.. I'm a bit reluctant to tear it all down but thought that this description might help..

Here's a picture of the top end, you can see the bolt under the cables to the left..

Hi Exile. That looks, outwardly at least, to be the 'standard' casquette which has threaded holes under the large screws you mention, into which the top end of the stanchions are screwed. I think that your sliders may be the same as those Norm is referring to, but the stanchions probably are threaded at the top. If this is so, it may suggest that I could use the sliders/dampers etc from the 'new' forks I've got and fit them to my 2003-type threaded-topped stanchions. Could you please post a picture of the sliders on Thumper so we can be certain that they are the same as those in the Ebay picture?

Hi Exile, that is the standard setup that has been around since the introduction of the telescopic forks, the ones I am talking about have been introduced sometime since the UCE's were introduced in 2009

Thanks Exile. Just the job, and it shows that you have the early-type fork sliders with separate spindle clamps. If you look at the Ebay picture, the sliders are one piece castings with a hole drilled through for the spindle. Still, you have removed one possible answer to the question of how the Ebay fork stanchions will fit, so we must be getting nearer to a solution.

Hi Norm, Been head scratching trying to identify those forks and they may be off a late 2010/11 ish Thunderbird with offset..
