Thanks Sofiaspin,

It was me that actually asked Wayne at Hitchcock's if he would put a video sound track on youtube, he promptly sorted

After exchanging a few emails with Wayne over the past few weeks, I was told that they had the Can,the K&N Air Filter & the P/Commander.
The Motad Can has a removal baffle, but even so it is stamped "Not Road Legal", this has not yet been mentioned on the Hosts website, looking at the youtube video the Can sounds Great, not sure if the baffle is in or out,I would presume from the sound its Out.
I would love to give their Bike a try before I spend my cash on the Mods, but unfortunately they a bit too far away.

It sounds almost like my Velo Clubman. My plan is to buy a late classic 500 bullet very low mileage and stick hosts mega on with amal mk 1 30mm carb - almost the same performance, better sound, a lot cheaper than a GT

Go For it Sofiaspin >>

I bought my 535GT in September last year only done 50 miles & i got at well below list price, but you will be able to buy a used 500 Bullet very cheap & then play around with it, but I guess if you want to get it looking like the 535GT will cost few quid.

Hi Greaser. Like you, I have a (Hinckley) Carb Triumph Thruxton (well I presume that's what you have). I love it to bits. It's nothing like as fast as my Suzuki Hayabusa, but enormous fun round twisty roads. If someone wants speed and performance, they should buy a superbike. I have ridden the new GT and liked it very much. It handles great, looks great and has plenty of potential. Our hosts are very good at getting the best out of Enfields and will most certainly be further improving the GT's performance (and looks) in the coming months. The GT is about lifestyle and fun. If I could afford it, I would have one, but she who must be obeyed says I already have too many in the garage.

Hi Forest

My Thruxton is actually the EFI, I did have one of the first carb versions in 2004, but then it was new to the market & the tuning mods etc were not available then, I to honest it did not handle very well , so I did not keep it long, I decided to go back to the Thruxton & the efi version when "British Customs in the USA" started with all the "café Racer tuning modifications" for the bike & shown on their programme sky TV, & to be honest this Thruxton I have now is a totally different beast to the first one, its brilliant, performs & handles as a café racer should....having said all that the 535GT handles very well, but as stated previously it just needs tweaking in the performance detp'

Talking of her in doors,i have found it pays to be a little deaf, keep looking on ebay you will bag a 535GT at the right money eventually.

good luck my friend

Hi guys I am newby to the site.

I have a question for our Host [Hitchcocks] regarding the Motad silencer for the RE continental 535GT, is it Safe [fuel/air mixture wise] to use this silencer [baffle out] on a Standard/stock tune 535GT,without causing any damage ?

Thanks
Lewis

Hi Lewis, welcome to the forum, I would email hitchcocks direct or phone them if you have a specific question. I doubt they trawl through the forum looking for questions to ask. They are always very helpful.

Hi Rustygman,

The reason I asked on the question on here is I thought it would be beneficial to others also who may want to know.
