I have got the chance of buying a 1952 Royal Enfield Twin.
It has had a few things done cosmetically but is a non starter.
How much do you think is a reasonable price?

Sorry Lawrie, absolutely no way to tell from that little information. Pictures?

I will try and take some pictures and as soon as I learn how to post them I will have a go.
The engine kicks over but there is not a lot of compression, which I suppose can be a lot
of things. I am old Hondas and so it would be something new for me to try my hand with
this. it could be a case biting off more than I can chew

Lawrie, if you look in the section called Photo Gallery (in the panel on the left of this site) you will be able to see original Sales Brochures of the 1952 500 Twin. There's only an off side illustration but it should help with identifying it's originality. These are nice bikes and worth preserving. When you see it, if in doubt ask yourself all the questions you would when buying an old Honda! REgards, Mark

Always fancied one myself. Same frame as the bullet but with a smooth little 500 twin. They got a very good review in the Motorcycle when they were launched. Pretty too.
