I have what I believe is a Royal Enfield Crusader and I am not sure of the year of manufacture. The Frame # is 23373 and the engine # is C14074. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance

I was in the same position as you and emailed the club. They are so helpful it is not true; I had a phone call and email within hours and a great chat with the club chairman. Well worth the membership fee.

Yes, join up. Graham will tell you more about frame numbers than you could possibly need to know ;-)

Although I applaud the general idea of supporting the REOC, of which I am of course, a member, Could we please at least give the guy an idea about his bike if possible, without Just railroading him into the club, which may or may not be possible for him on various grounds.

Of course it is nice and also correct to advertise our owner's club, but would also e nice nice to give the poor guy an option?

Ah, sod it! , Join the club mate, or we 're not helping you!

Having the dated info on this WDCO frame instantly gave it history that made it interesting, the date it was dispatched to the military in 1945 in the last order number batch supplied by Royal Enfield, the date it was returned to the factory in 1946 to be repainted black and then the date it was dispatched to the dealer they named, to be sold to the civilian market. I guess a lot of ex military vehicles were re sold in this manner, particularly if they hadn't been used
