It does look crap and will annoy me until I can get it sorted.

Simon, It would drive you nuts once you realize it is wrong, every time you look at the bike your eyes will go directly to that guard

It is interesting because I am not that bothered by it, the chain guard still does the principle job of retaining most oil being flicked and is easier in fact to lube. Furthermore plenty of bikes have more exposed chains. I don't like the cheap plastic mudguards on the standard Woodsman, preferring instead proper alloy guards. I plan to live with it as the cost and effort of replacing just to cover up a bit of chain is not worthwhile in my view!

Sofiaspin, Did you mean 'mudguards' the things over the wheels, if so then both of mine are painted metal, even the 'slim' (shitty) slimmed down front one. I know that as it had a dent in it, which I never saw when I bought it.



Or are yours plastic?

Scalyback - sorry I thought they were plastic, they certainly look plastic! It is a bit of a bitsa I agree but I will hang on to it for a while until I get the urge for an earlier iron barrel classic again.
