I rejetted after speaking with a real helpful guy at Hitchcocks, he recommended the jetting and I suppose he believed, as did I, that everything was OK, no breaks etc., so I'm pretty confident that the actual jetting is OK. I have no idea when the tear happened. Before or after? So that's just conjecture on my part. If it was split before, then the bracket definitely helped to close the split. It may even help to stop another. I'll have to play with the carby again when I've got the new intake rubber on. Maybe I need to adjust the needle up or down a tad.

Not very helpful mate, unless you have a part number. I've been through the Amal bits in the catalogue and nothing stands out.
