A quick tutorial on pictures.. for those that may need it..

This forum uses HTML language for posting, therefore we need to use HTML links to post pictures. Notice
HTML and NOT URL, IMG, or Email format.

If you use Photobucket; once you have selected your picture, choose HTML from the link box. See here..

Put your cursor over the text and click. Photobucket will flash a little message saying "copied", so now you have the code.

Paste the code into the post on the Hitchcocks forum.

You're done!

If you use Tinypic; You choose HTML for websites. See here..

You have to copy and paste from Tinypic but the principle is the same as above.

That's it!

No mess, no fuss, success is a must!

Now copy and paste this into a word document or some such thing, save it on your computer and you have it forever...

Not long actually. I dummied it up in Microsoft Front Page and imported the picture clips from Paint. But, OK, I can write in HTML. I don't expect anyone else to do that. From Front Page, it was all copy and paste.

If you don't, cant or wont use photobucket or tiny does that mean you have to continue to paint a picture with a thousand words?

Sofie..

No. You can easily hot link pictures.. You need to learn a little HTML to be
able to do it but it's easy, again, if you know how.
You will need to be able to grab the url of the picture you want to link to,
which you do by having the picture displayed in your browser (standing alone) and then copy the
url address of that picture.
You place that picture url into an HTML string that looks like this:
