Back to taxdiscs. Just replaced mine, as in previous years, eventually prised the rusted screw holder apart to withdraw the soggy old disc which had none of the biro writing left and fitted the new one in. I couldn't screw the holder back together again due to the rust, so I araldited the new disc in. After all, it will never have to be changed again! It also now seems that when the new system comes in this autumn, it will not be possible to transfer any unused tax to the new owner if you sell your bike. Just when you think a new system might just be an improvement they manage to **** it up.

This has just started out here, I recently paid the reg on 2 trailers and got no label. Problem I see with this is if you are driving a company owned car do you have to go to the boss and ask if the vehicle is registered, or boss says jump into the truck and go and pick this stuff up. Here it is a $700 fine for driving an unregistered vehicle

Couldn't work out what it was about Byan's first picture until I realised it was a mirror image (or a very special special)

Just my two cents worth..:

We've never had a tax disc here in Denmark. You pay your road tax and it is registered against the vehicle at the tax office and on the police national computer, along with your drivers license and insurance. Strangely, even though the police can see all this on the computer in the police car, you will be fined for driving while not having the license with you, in or on the vehicle you are driving, if they decide to stop you..

Another smart way of turning motorists into criminals. Our police have become tax collectors.
