I've finally got my own private blog running. Don't know if anyone is interested in my scribblings, but I'll be documenting my dealings and travels with Thumper. Comments are welcome, both here on this forum and here on the blog.

I didn't buy the bike to add years to my remaining life. I bought it to add life to my remaining years.

Just read it and it is interesting, good therapy for you too no doubt. When I got my 04 classic 500 the micarb was tossed in the bin, literally, and replaced with an Amal Mk1 concentric with jetting to suit and an open pipe. Big boost to power and performance, and no dangly carb.
