You know, after getting so fed up with the negativity of this forum, i haven't looked at it in over a year.
Here i am surfing and thought i'd just see how things are going, and i can see that people on here are as negative as always. Having bought a continental GT a few weeks after their launch, it is a great, fun motorcycle, worthy of credit.
Royal Enfield's future is bright, and there will be more to come i'm sure, inc., twins etc.
I have a 2001 500 bullet thats done over 50,000 miles and still going strong.
I have had nothing but pleasure from riding Indian made Royal Enfield's.
They are not just machines for people on a budget, they are for free thinkers who have money too and want something different, not just something they can perhaps tune to "make better" and end up with a catalogue of woe's because it not reliable anymore, or those that ride them like they are modern bikes and end up seizing them, or having bearings collapse etc.
i have a whole host of friends with woeful tails of BMW's and other bikes too, inc, Japenese machines.
So don't give me this Indian made rubbish. Faults can occur in anything mechanical, it is its nature....what EVER part of the world it comes from.
See you in another year perhaps.
Wishing you happy trails.
Enjoy if you can, and Happy New Year to one and all.
