Good morning. The nuts on the three studs used to retain the stator are shocking! 'Home Made' in the very worst sense. What thread of nut do I need for replacements?

I have offered up 1/4 BSF and it's close, so am guessing 1/4 BSCy

Measurement is complicated due to the original (?) nuts having *slightly* distorted the thread on the stud, so it may be that they ae BSF but I don't want to blunder on and damage anything, holding up the job another day getting new studs. Am confident that the correct nut will restore the thread on the studs.

Thanks.

If your Bullet is a pre metric one then they will be whitworth. As far as I am aware the system was whitworth into aluminium castings and everything else is 26 tpi regardless of size.

M7 is correct, I have had fun with them myself in the past and tapped 1/4" BSF nuts out to M7 once, in order to have nuts that would fit those studs. Nasty, very nasty. Cheers, Paul.
