The standard mirrors on my efi are starting to get a bit loose and need constant adjusting at the mirror end. Is there any way that these
can be tightened down other than by adjusting them and then giving them a few spots of superglue to lock them into position>

I think superglue would be a bit over the top and they'd never move again. Perhaps a bit of silicone sealer would give enough friction.

Trouble is if he doesn't have any Loctite it would cost nearly as much as new mirrors and what type of Loctite to use?

Same problem, I just wrapped some electrical tape tightly around the connection on each mirror - did the trick, and also still allows some adjustment.

put the Boyer on my 350 - runs fine - I saw that the tech notes had a procedure for checking/setting the timing. Is it necessary to check the timing or is the Boyer pretty reliable

Permatex Threadlocker 10 ml (blue). Costs about £8.
Can be undone when necessary; use the rest on problem nuts and bolts which vibrate loose. I`ve got it on all the fasteners on my Bullet and nothing has fallen off so far. Get it from your friendly auto accessories store.

And Leon, if you use 290 Wickin Loctite you done even need to undo the nut, just a drip on the thread and it will work its way into the thread
