Thanks Alan but got the chin wag covered as riding with old mates on a modern triumph and an old harley. Of course I will be setting a blistering pace on my 350 bullet. Up pen y fan by day and supping ale by night. Can't wait. Sorry about the hijack everyone.

I obviously tempted fate when I mentioned the crankcase split that is repaired with JB weld. I noticed oil on the floor this morning and on close inspection the JB Weld has now cracked. So I will have to do some repairs, yes it should be welded, but thats an engine out and crankcase split job. The JB weld has done well for two or three years so that may be the way to go again. I have seen a product called Laser aluminium brazing rods, I may give that a go. If I can get the area cleaned up and oil free it may work better. I will go away and ponder a while!
