Not sure if this articial is genuine or a joke but there of an opinion H D are planing a 500cc built in India. Now that would be funny If it was a single especially more funny if it was a V twin.

Hi guys---------- just take a Guzzi V50 engine and turn it through 90 degrees, leave the engine bolts slightly loose, add-on the obligatory "Screamin Eagles" slashed pipes and there you are !!

Of course when Harley ran Buell they produced the Buell Blast for the North American market. This had the ubiquitous Rotax motor.
Perhaps the new 500 will be a development of the Blast?
Sounds very interesting though!
