Alan,

Looks very nice - however unless it's been changed from std don't put ATF in the primary. The engine breaths through the primary and the excess oil overflows back to the crankcase so you'll end up mixing the AFT with your main oil.

Nice one Alan :) I had a T140 Bonnie, a Brit. spec one, way back when, with bigger tank and flatter bars. Very reliable and with massive mid-range power, a brilliant machine. It will shake your brains out of your ears when you get up around the ton though!

And the Boyer ignition will help too. Most people don't know that it was originally intended for these bikes (and Tridents) when Boyers were the main Triumph dealers in Bromley, Kent. I spent many happy saturday mornings looking at the bikes there hoping one day to be able to own a battered old 3TA. Of course now I've got the T90 so I've moved up-market a bit!

Hi guys-----------Hello there AL EDDIE, yes--didn't they develop it originally for racing ?? I'm sure I've seen an early video of their bike at the TT......As you might expect there are a few issues to sort out, mainly poor quality, previous owners wiring etc.....Does anyone know of a good T140 forum ?? I suppose the Triumph Owners would be a good a place as any to start with ??-------- See some of you next SUNDAY 8th for MadMikes meeting ??.............PS, Aren't these Bonnevilles so much lighter than a Classic Bullet ???
