after being incredebly stupid its not hard i put over a gallon of diesel in the electra tank ,not realising i then went for a thrash down the M1 pinking was terrible but i managed to get it back to sick bay(the garage)on draining the fuel i found that the filter in the electra tap assembly was full of crud so i cleaned it out along with all the contaminated fuel,the tank then had PETROL put in it and all was well,now here i was with a dilema what to do with the said contaminated fuel then i came up with an idea ,ive been running the diesel on cheap new veg oil of late in this hot weather at £1 per litre it beats pump diesel so i got 9lts of fresh veg oil and did the mixing job with the contaminated fuel i made quite a few lts of my mix then it was time for a road test popped my new fuel in and then went on the test run over to the A1 ,M62 ,and a few minor roads 100 miles later the fuel was rated as excellent smelling like a chip shop ,so thats another plus for the diesel bike it will run on any oil while the asreoil is riding it!!atb paul

No Law against recycled chip fat is there? I thought it was just illegal to use heating oil? Biggest risk is being ambushed by hungry Scotsmen I'd imagine.

GRUNDA stirs up debate yet again although the contaminated fuel was all legit the cooking oil would also have vat but now thanks to mr ogri i can used 2500 lts i might take on the oil moguls LOL! ANOTHER THOUGHT are there anyother diesel bulliteers on here? because if there are let it be known i would love to arrange a diesel bullet convention in the uk atb paul.

hi alan i have sent you an email with a few clues as to what you will require for a diesel conversion,remember i used the petrol type inner primary case so no need for the extended layshaft etc mine works well and has done without problems in that department atb paul.

You're also allowed to distil 1250 litres per year of ethanol for personal use as biofuel. Just make sure none of it spills into an adjacent jug that just happens to be there ...
