Hi Guys, - I am thinking of ordering a new Continental GT but cannot seem to get an insurance quote ?? No company seems to have heard of it and after calling Moto GB SIX TIMES - and being timed out every time without speaking to any human being - I am pretty brassed off with them - it seems they are only to happy to sell you a bike but any customer service after that is non-existant. Surely its their responsibilty to ensure the insurance companies have the bike on file - Bennetts refused point blank to quote me saying the bike did not exist !!! Not a good beginning is it ??

When was the bike introduction? Seems a little premature to be getting chuffed isn't it? Some unreasonable expectations this early in the process. Let the paint dry on the bikes and the brochures first!!

It is like buying a new house - post office and insurance companies and the rest take time to catch up. Some of the bigger insurance companies like Carole Nash or Bennetts should be able to source these bikes. Must admit, am tempted. I see quite a few on ebay from dealers.

In the showrooms already?? I "assumed" they went on sale in the UK in October. Maybe they are just there to be shown and then when they "officially" go on sale then all the legalities will be sorted? I'm eager over here in the states to see and test one...and likely buy one. I hope it's not a case of insurance companies here having no listings of them either, like was the case for an MZ and Benelli I had. They defaulted to the higher Harley type premiums when they quoted me full coverage. Insurance companies like to do that: default... as long as it benefits them! Hope that isn't the case.

Hi All, Well after much hassle - I WILL name and shame ( for the record - I'm over 50 with a clean licence ) - Bennets - refusal " its too new " MCE - £611 " well its a new model" and Carol Nash - £483 " Well thats a goodwill as we dont have the details as yet"

What a bunch of thieves - taking advantage of the fact its a new bike - I got cover for £190 with CIA - who took no liberties and were only too pleased to have my business - Well done to them and I will sing their praises wherever I can. Now to find a dealer with one left in stock....If only Hitchcocks did bike insurance !!
