hi dazza I have a 2000 350 running on a micarb I also have a monobloc 376/17 which is a little large on choke size for the 350 but it can be used providing you use a 190 main jet and a number 4 throttle valve cutaway the choke size is 1/1/16 inch these were fitted to the 1960s bullets so should work ok for you.good luck.chris

Thanks all for your help yesterday in my local town they held the Aberdare road races every year it's a big event anyway I meet up with Paul known as Bullet whisperer on the forum he was there raceing royal enfields he took a look at my bullet and checked my main jet it is a 190 jet he spotted that I ride my bike with the choke lever in the on position as I'm new to this I thought that the choke lever would be off when the cable is slack no tention but it works the other way as Paul said when the cable is tight tention on the choke is off I then took her for a quick run home as the heavens opened up its seams better I will try it out when the good weather returns once again thanks all what a great site and thanks Paul I did try to catch you later on in the day but you must have been on the track I stored your number hope to meet up some time and next years races thanks Darran

Dazza - I understood that your bike is already fitted with an Amal Monobloc carb......did I misread this ?---- Incidentally guys ( and in no way is this meant to be criticism of the well-intentioned postings above from those trying to help), doesn't this just highlight the futility of trying to diagnose carburation faults from a distance/over the internet ?

No John, it's not futile - it's just that the obvious gets missed sometimes.
