everything else is fine horn indicators H/L flasher etc.
I have renewed the L/H & R/H switch clusters and the battery, still no lights and I should be out riding while the weather is good, "HELP" any suggestions gratefully received

I had a similar problem at the MOT with my Electra X - Engine running - when 'main beam/flasher' was operated the headlight went DIM and the engine cut out. The bloke found a short in the headlight nacelle itself(Loose wire). (Dudley MBC motorcycles).

Jono I mentioned before check the wires into the nacelle side lights, they have a tendancy to cut through on the fitting. Is it blowing the fuse when you turn the lights on

Hello Norman the bike is not blowing any of the fuses
just stopping the engine (when running) and when engine is not running the lights do not come on when the switch is operated but the ameter shows
a total discharge.

Johno, then check what I said, you have a short there somewhere that for some reason isn't blowing the fuse. My Electra did exactly the same thing a week after buying it

Hello all, The electra X is now sorted the lights now work as they should,
a BIG thank you to all for your suggestions But the star of the show was NORM and his nacelle light short circuit.
Spot on after closer inspection faulty original connections to the light bulb bayonet holder.
Thanks Johno
