Hi there,
for the registration of my 1931 model H 570 cc sloper I need a copy of any sort of official document giving the engine power since this data is missing in my papers. I could not find any charts in the literature either. Can anybody help? Or maybe you know somebody, how knows somebody, ...

Jan, this sort of data simply was not published in the 1930s. You might be able to guess, but there is no reference material. I'm guessing you are trying to register a bike in some bureaucratic country like Germany? REgards, Mark

Dennis, that link doesn't work but what does it link to please, if you know? I've never seen Factory figures for any Enfields until the Connies arrived and I think Jan needs something quite official looking if my guess is correct! I agree 15hp sounds about right (as a rear wheel figure,) but many modern registration authorities want certified documentary evidence, which I don't think exists? REgards, Mark

Thanks Dennis, I've never come across any of that! I notice he quotes figures are from a German book about motorcycles 1922-44. That might be enough to satisfy a European registration authority but the problem remains, where did that information come from! Thanks again, REgards, Mark

Hi Dennis, Hi Mark,
super that's the one. I know the site, but I have not thought about looking there. By the way, the data there comes from a regular book series "internationale Typenschau" which was printed in Germany. In ebay is one later issue of the 50s under the number 390587238016. Unfortunately the wrong issue.

Good news! Have you actually ridden this bike yet? I am thinking of buying a WD/C 350cc sidevalve project which is a pre-War Model B, (not that dissimilar,) and I wondered what it was like?

Hi Mark,
yes I have ridden the bike in December last year after I have bought it. The engine is in terms of troque and sound really like a tractor. Unfortunately I found out, that i have to redo the complete crank shaft from scratch. But together with the sidecar, It is a real beauty. I have pictures in the REOC forum under sale. I want to sell the bike after I have done the technics completeöy since I am aiming for a different bike.
My second RE is a 1938 silver bullet 500cc J2.
