Decidedly shabby in it's execution, but more than likely more reliable than any of our Enfields.

Thanks for your comments gentlemen... most of them were much more positive than I expected! Great that we're all different in our tastes :) I wish I could leave stuff in its original intended form but its a compulsion that I can't shake off. I simply like things that shouldn't really work but they do. For me at least!

I don't like that particular variation but have seen some really nice bobber styled BMW airheads.
On the subject of bints draped over bikes, yes it annoys the b***dy hell out of me, I buy bike mags to look at and read about the bikes, I hate this stupid image that if you're into anything of a vaguely 'custom' feel that you also have to have that with an extra dollop of vacuous looking bint in lingerie.
I buy Practical sportsbike regularly which, thankfully doesn't suffer from this problem, I DON'T buy BSH and haven't for some time preciesly because of this.

Well, technically you are absolutely right. However, when BMW fitted a hydraulic disc brake for the first time in 1974 they for some unknown reason thought that putting the master cylinder and reservoir on the handlebar was too risky. Someone might tamper with it etc. etc. So they tucked it away under the tank, together with half the benefits of a hydraulic brake. A few years later they realised the mistake and corrected it. .-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- About the bike: I would not be seen on such a thing! Never! .-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- Regards, Anders F. R.

For my two pennyworth I'm not keen on the BMW, and not keen on on the girls either. If you get my drift.

OK folks maybe this one is more to your discerning tastes?
It's a CB350 called Doris, and is from a site called bikeshed.mc
