sorry - trying to get the headlamp casing off, so trying to get the main fork tubes off - there is a hexagon fitting on the top of the tube.

Hi Dean,
I assume you have the lower pinch bolts loose. You will probably have to heat up around the threaded part, you can do this in through the headlight and not damage the external paint

Dean to remove the nacelle you have to also loosen the pinch bolt hidden under the handelbar clamp

Hi guys--------- Ah !--I see now... Yes, just to add my rapidly de-valuing 10 pence worth}--- Viewed from above you will be turning CLOCKWISE and the leg will be going DOWN and OUT from the casquette...It sometimes helps if you jam a wedge (Flat-bladed screwdriver ?? )into the slot of the lower yoke.. This will increase the hole diameter and is a MUST-DO when re-assembling such that you can "feel" that very fine thread start back into the casquette...You def. DON'T want to cross-thread that little rascal, believe me !!!!!

Thanks for the suggestions - do I need the special tool, or will my 1/2 inch allen wrench with a pipe (for leverage) do the job?

A foot of pipe is fine but if it doesn't come loose with that you will need to heat it
