I put a gel pad into my R100RT BMW when I re-covered the seat and to be honest, I didn't like it! I ride long distances and have found in the past that a seat that feels comfy at first can be painful after 50 miles and firmer seats feel better in the long run BUT I just couldn't get comfortable on the gel pad. It wasn't a total disaster, just never got to the stage where you forget it's there. This was the "medical" style pad you cut into the seat foam, can't remember the name of the people I got it from. The seat base eventually rotted through and I stripped it out if anyone wants it!

Mark, I've been in search of the elusive comfy seat for a long time. I'd be only too willing to relieve you of said pad to give it a try.

I found dodgy knees, a bad back and far too many pasties soon produced sufficient cushioning in the right area. That said I recently did the 300 miles from liverpool to Barnstaple vitually non stop on the old tiger 90 and couldn't even sit on the khazi for three days!

Hello Alan,
- I did a search for "Universal Natural LardAss item fitted (Supplied by God-Spell Industries)" and all I could find was loads of stuff about Americans :0)
