Hi all first off thanks for the recent advice on re assembling the gearbox casing after replacing the kick start pawl , however now the bike is back in one piece I find the gears difficult to change mostly 1st , all the gears are there when you press really hard on the selector lever but they were not as difficult to engage prior to having the casings off, any ideas

Taper loosen all the screws in the outer cover and then retighten them, often the neutral finder binds up particularly if you fit the neutral finder after tightening the cover up

Thanks Norm the tip on slackening the outer casing seems to have worked , I can now select all gears with the minimum of effort and the neutral finder works as well.
Gears still crunch a bit when engaging but I think that is more to do with clutch adjustment.

try to slightly unscrew the GOSA (GEAR OPERATOR SELECTOR ASSEMPLY)
This nut can be found once the outer cover is removed
