Hi All

Not posted much here before, but a keen watcher of the forum, thought you might be interested in a little ride I completed a couple of weeks ago. I'm the Rallymaster for the Ironbutt Association here in the UK . We hold and compete in road endurance events here in the UK and beyond, the starting point for this group of lunatics is 1000 miles in 24 hours, surprisingly easy on a modern bike and as it turned out also on a EFI Woodsman.

My write up of the ride is at http://mototreker.blogspot.co.uk/

Bought in November and 5000 miles put on it since I love this little bike it makes me smile every time I ride it to the extent that my other bikes have been more or less redundant !

Brilliant, well done! And if I might say, well written as well! (by the way, what was the trip near Silverstone about? I live nearby and would happily drop by if you do it again!)

Thanks for the comments

Every month we have a ride to eat somewhere in the UK or Europe, who ever can go rides there has lunch and a good old chin wag with like minded souls and then rides home. Our forum at http://www.ironbutt.org/forum/forum_top ... ID=28&PN=1 has all the details of these and other events.

We also organise a 36 hour rally in the UK every year, this years is two weeks time, and we have one Enfield Fury entered.

Well done you! In modern times, there should be no reason why a modern machine should fail to achieve the magical 1000 in 24hrs but the rider is a different story.. Most I have achieved is 935 in one go back up from the Med & I had white line fever for a day afterwards.
