Hi guys--------- now that IS unusual !!-------- Trouble is , both IAN D & ANDERS FR could be correct....ANDERS, because in the past the Bullet 65 bikes were subject to a cylinder head re-call and free exchange..This was due to the fact that in a certain batch the factory had fitted the wrong valve seats ( Softer, home market ones instead of the harder, European items)..This showed up as rapid valve seat recession....... BUT, IAN D could also be correct as the term "Softer seat" is only a comparative one and I can't imagine any seat bending like that...PLUS, it would have been bounced around a few hundred (Thousand ??) times before being spat out.....New one on me, I'm afraid but interested to find the answer !!

Hi guys-----------just some further thoughts }--- If that is a seat and it had just happened you'd get NO compression whatsoever, plus a great deal of CLATTER from the rocker system, plus the exhaust push-rod would probably jump out of its socket.....If it is a washer, it's probably an experiment that a PO has tried to seal the exhaust pipe header into the head and it dropped down the pipe....So IAN D, just how "Bendy" is it then ??------------ Why not try TINYPICS for posting an image ??---------

-------------- it looks like a Dowty washer with the rubber missing...Washing machine door seal ???---Hmmm ???--- don't think so as our bikes are mainly "Side-loaders" whereas a modern washing machine is a "Front-loader" !!!!!
