Hi DURHAM TIM--You are not too far from my neck of the woods and the run to Hawes is one of my favourites too. (via Buttertubs)
I have a 1955 350 bullet in fine fettle. Just the job for a relaxing plod on a warm Summers day.
On the 350 performance- I have flowed the head to improve the mid range revs, patiently jetted the monobloc to suit, (ended up a lot different to standard), and a free flowing silencer and he positively chomps at the bit at 50 to 65 mph. I must add that I do not mistreat the old boy. My intention was to help him breathe better to be more flexible when needed.
Decending down hill with the throttle shut through narrow Whitby streets is a sound to behold.
