Chicken strips! If you wear on the centre it does not mean low pressures if you ride upright. If you lean over a lot tread will wear on the side wall but most of us ride upright, not leaning over as if we had a cafe racer. So centre wear is consistent with upright riding. Most tread is not used.

Ha! I'd like to see the cops test my tyre pressures. In the named of slothfulness I generally allow my wheels to build up a healthy layer of crud. Let em soil their hands. My goodness they clearly don't have enough to do up there!
