Reading some of the blurb for the Boyer powerbox, i note that its fitted with an internal capacitor which
(quote) will give a stable direct current of around 14.5 vdc... If it allows the bike to start with a low battery then i wonder if the electronics detect a current draw, ie indicators on and the capacitor boosts the output in parallel with the alternator..... thus a positive on the amp meter instead of the usual negative untill engine rpm increased as on standard voltage reg/recs..
