Anyone noticed that some RE dealers seem to have given up their dealership. A consequence of the new importers taking over?

My local one closed at the beginning of the year. To be fair, I didn't buy much there but it was handy for MOTs as they knew how to start the Enfield so that the headlight could be checked. I can't imaging some of the other MOT stations coping.

Hey Midge - Once when mine needed MOTing I took it to my local back street Jo's and left it with him 'cos he was busy. When I returned he'd failed the bike for not having a working headlight, and took it upon himself to rive out most of the wiring from the nacelle! After I arrive back and told him what we all know, and got him to replace the wiring I had to start the bike for him and demonstrate high and low beams! These youngsters eh?!!!

Pete, How did you find... or rather, Not find them? I used to look under Dealers in the Watsonian website but they presumably aren't ina position to display that now? -Chris

Chris, I just looked at the web sites of all the dealers I knew about. Whereas previously they were advertising the fact that they were RE dealers, this information is now conspicuous by it's absence. One of my local ex-dealers has two demonstrator EFI bikes for sale as they are "no longer required".
