i really enjoy this site, and having met a number of contributors my enjoyment has increased. As a result I have absolutely no intention of offending anybody and particularly our hosts who so generously allow me to ramble on even thogh I do not have an Enfield. So before I do anything a question. Can I advertise 2 non Enfields for sale here or is that not allowed? I have read the notes below about our hosts core business but it doesn't really answer my question. I promise NOT to be upset or offended if the answer is a big fat NO, and you will all still be invited to MadMikes Gathering in September.

I think it should be an Enfield given that this is an Enfield site hosted by Hitchcocks. That said a lot of folk on here will have other Brit bikes, and in my case a Velocette and Sunbeam, so perhaps you will have an interested audience. I do not, however, think this site should offer up modern bikes and certainly not British bikes for sale. But then again I have Union Jacks sewn into my jackets.

Oops that should have read non-British bikes! I am sure you know what I mean.

The only restriction Mr H puts on the forum is dealing in parts.
Bring 'em on!

As Pete sez, Mr H sells parts and only blocks us from selling our bits here. ...........So Mike, bring 'em on :)

sorry to break any illusion here but an enfield made in india is not a british bike it is just a replica of a brit bike if its a iron barrelled classic, if its an electra or an efi its a replica styled on a brit bike from the past all that glitters is not always gold now where did i put my rose tinted spectacles atb paul.

Glad you cleared up that hoary old chestnut once again Paul. I get right cheesed off, especially by the north American colonials, that insist on calling their brand spankers Austrian/Indian (and no doubt Chinese)motorcycles with the odd English made replacement part "British" bikes.
