A friend of mine is selling his 1961 350 Bullet its in very good condition cosmetically and runs and sounds like a recently restored engine, it has tax which I know is free and 10 months MOT. can any one tell me what its worth. If its close to what he is asking for it Im off to Falmouth for it...........Regards Albert sunny Turo

hi al ,if its as good as you say ,i would estimate without seeing it at around £2500 tops cheaper if you can maybe £2000 go on buy you know you want it ,enjoy yourself as they say you only live once unless you happen to be called mr bond

That's it then. I know the bike is immaculate and is a Redditch model but he is asking £3700 so I will give it a miss. Im not fussed what make of bike I buy so long as I get one for the spring......Regards Albert

Seems a bit steep for a Bullet, but Model G's used to be ten a penny and now they are in that league. Classic bikes go up and down but overall they appreciate.

I realise it is top retail price, but there is a nice clean '61 Bullet at GB motorcycles just now for £3750 (it needs the ally engine cases polishing up with a bit of solvol, mind). Not exactly my cuppa T nowadays but at least a real Royal Oilfield and to some preferable to those new fangled Austrian/Indian mongrols! (lobs grenade and ducks down below parapet!).

Thanks Eddie, I have checked the bike out you mentioned and looked at the photos and noticed a load of things wrong eg silencer, painted nuts rusty nuts, and that tax disc looks as if its being attached to the fork tube. So this one makes my friends bike look really good and £50 cheaper. It seems £3500 is right at the top end of the price range and needs to be spot on. The one that Eddie has pointed out looks a bit iffy. To see the photos in close up I pressed view at the top of the screen and scrolled down to zoom and then I selected 150%. Thanks Albert
