At the A1 Scotch Corner Services this afternoon (monday 20) a chap walked past the Infamous Enfield remarking that he had "the diesel of one of those" At the time I was carefully watching an old dodger making a balls of parking & he was getting uncomfortly close to my bike. When I looked again the chap was gone.......... Is he one of us I wonder? .. pic of Bullet ready fro the ride home from Northumberland ... http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f340/ ... 8484b4.jpg

Although it is no one from here it would have been churlish of me not ask :( I would have liked to talk with him but thanks to the old Dodger & his attempts at parking the chance was lost

So Bryan, when you looked up, "he was gone", then? Are you sure it wasn't a ghostly apparition ?? That ride down thw A1(M) from Durham to Scotch Corner on an Enfield could drive anyone insane!! :) Next time, try the A167 instead. Far less monotonous. Must say though, I loved the picture. Hope you enjoyed passing through God's own country!!

Thanks Tim but A167 would not have been useful this trip. ... Which was Bellingham to A68 via unclassified road thru' Redesmouth .... A68 - Tow Law ... West Auckland ... B6275 - Piercebridge - joining A1 just a mile or so north of Scotch Corner :) ... http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f340/ ... 6665c1.jpg ... refreshment here ... http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f340/ ... d4d57f.jpg ... the whole long weekend was very enjoyable, even a very soggy saturday did nothing to spoil it
